The Resurrection of Osiris

The canvas itself performs a ritual: Osiris exists on another plane — his image appears only under ultraviolet light, in the same invisible plane into which he was cast down. To see him is to perform an act of magical sight.

Isis reaches toward Set in an act of transformation. Her will dissolves the destroyer-brother, turning his chaotic nature into fuel for resurrection. Phosphorescent light bursts from Set's eyes: the energy of destruction, intercepted and re-forged, becomes the power of rebirth.

Beside Isis, symbols shimmer — images drawn from the artist's own visionary experience, passed through a polymorphic prism. Under ultraviolet light a hidden ornament blooms across Isis's back — a sacred tattoo, a flash of inner power breaking through at the ritual's moment of highest tension.

The work exists in three states of light — and each reveals a new layer of the myth, a new stage of Isis's quest: from hidden to manifest, from chaos to resurrection.
