Violin's Soul
In a Roma legend, a woman struck a bargain with the dark: she traded her family for a violin. Her father became its body. Her brothers, its strings. Its neck was carved from their ribs. And she began to play. This figure is her reflection in the Polymorphic world: a dark violinist, long past regret.
The instrument is a rib cage. The music is born where the heart used to be. From the center of her body, two beings weave themselves out of black ribbons — emerging from within. Ancestral spirits, family shadows, the voices of those already in another dimension who still hold the thread. They are smiling. They know.
The bow floats apart from her hand. One of the beings reaches for it with a long tongue, winds around it, guides it. She plays — but it is they who sound.
In the dark, all three sets of teeth glow the same — a single smile, turned equally toward both worlds. The motif of "singing bones" exists in the folklore of many peoples: an instrument made from remains speaks what the living rarely dare to hear.
