She is the source.

A black silhouette at the center of red fire: Sekhmet, the Egyptian goddess of war, plague, and healing, daughter of Ra, whose breath gave birth to the desert winds. The artist takes up this archetype as a living force: the dark silhouette as a form of presence for something too vast for a specific shape.

On her chest is the silhouette of a cat. Sekhmet and Bastet — two sides of a single principle: the untamable and the gentle, fire and purring.

In one hand, a staff in the shape of a cobra: the uraeus, symbol of royal power and lethal protection. Her other hand is raised to an ankh. She holds both poles — life and that which ends it — balanced in her hands.

Around her, polymorphic symbol-spells: a living language, spoken by a power that needs nothing but itself.
